En Masse

I will be part of En Masse, starting today at Pangee gallery, in old Montreal :

“EN MASSE” @ Galerie Pangee, co-curated by Tim Barnard and Jason Botkin, is an explosive encounter between the worlds of fine art, comix, and graffiti on a massive scale. This month long event, running from February 1st to March 1st, will climax with a gigantic bang timed exactly to coincide with the citywide round the clock celebrations of Nuit Blanche!

Twelve home-grown Montreal favs, influential artists chosen for their cutting edge graphic styles, have been invited to invade the space of Pangee for an entire month of production, working to cover the walls in a collaborative ecstasy of mark making.

The exhibition will open its doors quietly on the first of the month, with the walls covered every inch in clean white paper from floor to ceiling, eagerly anticipating the coming squall of creation. We invite you to come often, as this massive, once in a lifetime event project expands on a daily basis!

Long time no post !
So for 2009, I have a couple of shows lined up. The main event and personal challenge that I am very, very excited about is a two-men show with the incredibly talented Shawn Barber at Yves Laroche gallery in Montreal opening on September 2d, alongside with the 7th edition of Art Tattoo Montreal. I just finished my first piece for that show, which is also the promotional image for the convention. I also have a solo show at Thinkspace in LA in November, opening on the 6th.
I also have a couple other projects cooking, including a TV show project.
I will post updates.

Whaleless, a group show at True Hate Gallery in La Rochelle, France, opened on Sept. 6th.
All the profits will go to a whales preservation campaign.

Blood Royale

Blood Royale, a group show featuring paintings from more than 30 international tattoo artists, is opening on Wednesday, Sept. 10th, from 6 to 9 at Yves Laroche Gallery in Montreal… (4 St Paul east in Old Montreal). Artists will include Tin-Tin, Filip Leu, Shawn Barber, Timer and a bunch of other mad talents…

I did the poster in collaboration with Scal from Tattoo Mania (who took care of the lettering).

I will be presenting the original piece at the show. A series of 30 Giclee prints signed and numbered will also be available.
